Thomas Charles Pfirman, age 65, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Surrounded by loved ones and upheld by his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, Tom entered into the presence of his Lord with peace and assurance.
Born on February 5, 1960, Tom was known to all who loved him as a kind, steady, and servant-hearted man. A lifelong follower of Christ, Tom was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church in Nocona, Texas, where he faithfully served for many years. Whether greeting visitors with his signature warm smile, ushering with quiet dignity, or teaching Bible classes with insight and compassion, Tom was a pillar of strength and encouragement in his church family.
Tom's life was a living testimony to humble service and enduring hope. Even during his illness, he remained a constant source of encouragement, continuing to serve and attend church as his health allowed. He walked closely with the Lord, and those around him often remarked on the peaceful glow that seemed to follow him everywhere.
He had a deep love for his family and took on many roles with grace and generosity. He was a great brother, especially in the devoted care he gave to his sister Margie during the final eight years of her life. After his sister Sarah's divorce, Tom stepped in as a father figure and mentor to her sons, guiding them with love, wisdom, and stability.
Tom's love for life was infectious. He was an avid sports fan and a passionate supporter of TCU, where he became legendary for being the best BBQ cook for the players at every game. He was also a huge fan of the Texas Rangers. He also loved fishing, had a special place in his heart for animals, and took joy in every moment spent outdoors.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary Pfirman, and his beloved sister, Margie Pfirman.
He is survived by his sister Sarah Jordan and her husband Rodney; nephews Jerry McLamore (wife Brittany), Hunter McLamore (wife Misty), and Eugene McLamore (wife Jennifer); nieces Shawnee Hall (husband Mason) and Cheyene Jordan (husband Reid Miller); nine great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nieces and nephews. His legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Tom's family will receive visitors Friday, August 8, 2025, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
