Stacey Dyer

May 1, 1970 — December 1, 2025

Stacey Ladell Gee Dyer, age 55, of Nocona, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She fought courageously and quietly for three years and finally won the battle to receive her eternal glory. She was born on May 1, 1970 in Henrietta, Texas to David and Glenda Miller Gee. She was the oldest of three daughters and had the stubborn, strong-willed personality to prove her place in the hierarchy.

She graduated from Nocona High School in 1988, and she then attended Midwestern State University where she pursued a degree in education. Upon graduating from MSU, she dedicated her life to teaching and molding countless young minds. She worked for 10 years at Saint Jo ISD and another 20 at Nocona ISD where she even had the privilege of teaching her own daughters.

Stacey met Lenzy Dyer in the early 90s and fell in love, much to her parents’ disappointment, but they eventually came around and the two were married on June 11, 1994. They spent 30 years together and Lenzy only forgot a handful of anniversaries. They welcomed two daughters, Morgan and Hannah, and spent all their time after that attending their daughters’ school, band, and theater events.

She was a big animal lover and always made sure her girls had a dog, but those dogs always loved her more than them. When they went to college they became her dogs. Levi is definitely the favorite child, and Lily is the annoying little sister that everyone loves.

Stacey loved to travel, read, and watch Broadway musicals, and she instilled these loves in her daughters as well. She raised them to become life-long learners and to love Jesus. She had recently traveled to Amsterdam, Prague, Paris, and London with her daughters. It’s something they will never forget and will cherish for the rest of their days.

Stacey’s life cannot be summed up by a single obituary. She loved her family and friends immensely, and even when she was going through a hard time, she didn’t want her problems to disrupt anyone else’s life. Over the three years she fought cancer, she made sure her family felt loved and taken care of. She made countless memories with her loved ones. Even up to her last days, she was laughing and spending time with her loved ones, especially her niece, Hadley May, who affectionately called her C.

Stacey is survived by her beloved daughters: Morgan Henrichson and husband Wyatt of Plano, Texas, Hannah Dyer of Lincoln, England; her loving husband, Lenzy of Nocona; mother, Glenda Miller Gee of Nocona; sisters: Dava Chitwood and husband Scott of Cypress, Texas; Stephenie Wright and husband Austin of Nocona; uncle Jerry Gee of Gainesville, TX; mother-in-law, Carol Dyer of Muenster, Texas; sister-in-law, Lou Heers and husband Ted of Muenster, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, David Gee; uncle, Gary Miller; aunt, Darlene Gee; father-in-law, Edgar Dyer; and brother-in-law, Lyle Dyer. We all know their reunion was a beautiful one.

Stacey would want you all to live life to the fullest and not make excuses. Take the trip. Tell your loved ones you love them. Read a book. Work on bettering yourself and the world around you.
