Pat's family will host a memorial service honoring Pat's life on May 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Nocona Hills Community Church.

Patricia Nell "Pat" Wilkins, 73, of Nocona, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on April 24, 2026, surrounded by love.

Pat was born on March 18, 1953, in Crosbyton, Texas, to Seger Irwin Jenkins and Jonell Addy. She lived a life full of warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit. Known for her big personality and an even bigger stubborn streak, Pat brought energy and life into every room she entered. She had a deep love for people, never missed an opportunity to celebrate, and found joy in parties, dancing, and making lasting memories with those she cherished.

On July 25, 1987, she married the love of her life, James Raymond "Jim" Wilkins. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion. Jim remained one of the most important parts of her world, alongside her beloved cat, Baby.

Pat found fulfillment in her career as a general manager at National Home Healthcare, where she not only excelled professionally but formed meaningful friendships that became like family to her. The Golden Girls as they called themselves brought pure joy to her life. She also had a creative spirit and loved decorating, always making her home a place of beauty and comfort.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Kandy and Trey Wilkins of Nocona, Texas; Renea and Joshua Bower of Amarillo, Texas; and Destiny and Nick Porter of Amarillo, Texas.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kristopher Holmberg of Nocona, Texas; Andrew Holmberg of Santa Barbara, California; Justin and Aaliyah Hudgens of The Woodlands, Texas; Jashua and McKinsey Collins of Yukon, Oklahoma; Zach Porter of Amarillo, Texas; Gabby and Jack Huseman of Amarillo, Texas; J.J. Bower of Dalhart, Texas; and Kenzie and Seth Meeks of Lubbock, TX.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Paizleigh, Johnathan, Lana Wren, JD, Luke Finch, Natalie, and Cooper, who brought her immense joy.

Pat is survived by her siblings: Steve and Shay Jenkins; Karen Walker; Curtis and Sherry Portwood; and Mark and Tracie Gray.

She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Seger and Doris Jenkins; her mother and stepfather, Floyd and Jonell South; her son-in-law, John Collins; and her brother, Jimmy Gray.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Healing Hands Hospice for the kindness, dignity, and compassionate care they provided during Pat's final two months. The family also wishes to thank Nocona Hills Community Church and Pastor Paul Coronado for their prayers, love, and unwavering support throughout her six-year battle with cancer.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Easy Street Animal Shelter in Saint Jo, Texas, in honor of Pat's love for animals.

Pat will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her fierce love for her family, and the unforgettable presence she carried throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
