Kandi Sherecee Walker

Our Heavenly Father opened his arms to receive a special angel, Kandi Sherecee Walker, on August 10th, 2026. Kandi was born November 9, 1977 in Irving, Texas, to Leslie and Angel Walker. She is survived by daughters Brooklee Walker and husband, Kolby, & Isabela Hernandez and Colton Evans; grandchildren Micah, Evi, Wren, Beckham Walker and Ivy and Oaklyn Evans; Grandmother Virginia Fenner; brothers Heath Walker & Tommy Walker (Deni); sisters Christie Walker (Robin) & Brandie Sparks (Cecil); nieces Katelynn Price (Tyler), Ali Ulibarri (Mitchell) & Raenie Walker; nephews RJ Walker, LeRoy Walker & Liam Acuna; great nephews Nolan & Slade Price; great niece Sloan Price; step-mother Jan Kerr; aunts & uncles LaJuana, W.R. (Sue), Jimmy (Patty) Yarbrough, DeJah (Dustin) Ridgeway, Betty (Ron) Woolery. Special family Dixie Bruce and Chalao Hernandez family. Kandi is also survived by many cousins and extended family of special lifelong friends.

Kandi was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie & Angel Walker, grandparents Billie & Helen Sue Yarbrough & Don Fenner, and nephews Caleb & Jacob Sparks.

Kandi started her work career as a carhop at The Drive-In where she made lifelong friends and memories with her Aunt LaJuana. She later pursued a career in healthcare and spent most of her time helping and caring for the elderly and anyone else who needed assistance with care. If a patient needed anything (a pair of socks, food, etc), she would find a way to provide it. She found her home in marketing with Three Oaks Hospice and loved her work family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star- Saint Jo Chapter #17. Kandi had an infectious smile that would light up the room. She loved spending time with her family and friends, backroading with them and her girls. She loved the roles of daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and caregiver, but her favorite roles were mom and Yaya to her girls and grandbabies.

Pallbearers will be Josh Anders, Kevin Bentley, Chris Mullendore, Todd Harrington, Alex Stovall, Kieran Gibbs, Conner Wigglesworth, and Tyler Richards.

Kandi's family will receive visitors Friday, August 14, 2026 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Kandi's funeral will be Saturday, August 15, 2026, 9:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, with Malachi Armstrong and Austin Wright officiating.
