Josephine Keith

March 14, 1930 — November 11, 2025

Josephine "Jo" Keith, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 95. She was born on March 14, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Gilbert and Arlie Keith. Throughout her life, Jo was known for her remarkable skills as a cook and her tireless work ethic, having owned and operated four restaurants, which became a testament to her dedication and passion for the culinary arts.

Though she had a quiet demeanor, Jo possessed a strong spirit. She was known to voice her feelings when something bothered her, but such moments were rare, especially in the face of her generally gentle nature. Jo began each day with a cherished cup of coffee with cream, a ritual she upheld like clockwork, and would allow herself a second cup every afternoon.

Jo was more than just a hard worker and an excellent cook; she was also a caring individual who dedicated herself to helping others achieve their goals. Whether she knew someone personally or they were a stranger finding their way to her door, she was always ready to lend her support and kindness.

She is survived by her beloved son, Milton Keith and his wife Connie of Frisco, Texas; her daughter, Joyce White and her husband Dennis of Lewisville, Texas; as well as ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. They will carry forward her memory and the values she instilled in them.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Keith; her son, Eugene Keith; her daughter, Barbara Stratton; all of her siblings; and her best friend, Marie Ramsey. Each of these losses left a deep impact on her life, yet Jo continued to shine brightly as a pillar of strength for her family and friends.

The legacy of Josephine Keith will continue to influence those who knew her and felt her warmth. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life during visitation on November 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, both to be held at Scott-Morris Chapel located at 212 East Oak Street, Nocona, Texas 76255.
