Dianne McChesney

Dianne Fortner McChesney, 78, of Nocona, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. She was born on March 6, 1947, in Spanish Fort, to Cecil Fortner and Dorothy Schrock Fortner.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Tommie Fortner and Jim Fortner; her sister, Susan Fortner Rowe; and her sister-in-law, Karen Fortner.

Dianne was a proud graduate of Prairie Valley High School, where she formed lifelong friendships that she treasured throughout her life. She carried those bonds and her love for her community with her wherever she went.

She was an avid sports fan who rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite teams. Dianne was also an active member of the Nocona Senior Center, where she was well known for her competitive spirit and the joy she found in playing games with her many friends. Her laughter, determination, and friendly rivalry made her a beloved presence there.

Dianne's greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her children, William McChesney, Kelly McChesney, and Shelly McChesney; her grandchildren, Stephanie McChesney Willett and husband Jacky Willett, Emily McChesney Smith and husband Shawn Smith, Brandon McChesney, Ryder McChesney, Samara McChesney, and Isaiah McChesney; and her great-grandchildren, Samuel Green, Brayden Willett, Isaiah Willett, Shawn Willett, Annalee Willett, and Aaliyah Willett.

Dianne's family will celebrate her life Friday March 6, 10:00 AM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home in Nocona.
