Debra Ann Husband

March 17, 1956 — December 17, 2025

Debra Ann Husband, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home in Nocona, Texas, on December 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 17, 1956, in Saint Jo, Texas. Debra's strong spirit and vibrant personality were apparent from a young age, as she grew up in Montague County, where she spent the majority of her life.

A hard worker with a stubborn streak and a penchant for humor, Debra had an infectious laugh that could light up any room. Her love for children extended far beyond her own; she embraced all who entered her home, claiming them as her own. She had a special bond with her fourteen grandchildren—Alex, Austin, Aiden, Clifford, Robert, Kahlil, Arthur, Amber, Toby, Erik, Iziak, Megan, and Ian—and her four great-grandchildren, Sniya, Kemari, Jolee, and Jovie, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Debra is survived by her devoted daughter, Amber Weatherread (and husband, Keith); her sons, Michael Weatherread and Boomer Weatherread (along with his wife, Juanette); and numerous brothers and sisters who will miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by her son William Weatherread; husbands, Strawberry Weatherread and Jackie Husband, as well as her parents, Bud Sampson and Audrey Graham Sampson. Their memories will forever be woven into the tapestry of her life, a testament to the depth of her love and the strength of her character.

A visitation will be held on December 19, 2025, from 6 PM to 7 PM at 212 E Oak St, Nocona, TX. A funeral service will follow at First United Methodist Church, located at 200 Grayson Street, Nocona, TX, on December 20, 2025, at 2 PM.
