Bonnie Faye Jenkins Hudson, born on October 7, 1936, in Urania, Louisiana, and longtime resident of Nocona, TX, left this world peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Wichita Falls, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a beloved figure in Nocona, recognized for her energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to service, having worked forty years as a waitress. Her work took her to several establishments in Nocona, as well as the Trails Inn in Gainesville. Bonnie did not just serve her customers -- she quickly made all of her customers friends. Her boundless energy and commitment to excellence in her craft often left patrons in awe, as she efficiently and tirelessly took care of everyone.
In addition to her time as a waitress, Bonnie also contributed to the success of Justin Leather Goods and Nocona Boots, further embedding herself in her community.
Outside of work, she found joy in cooking and baking, creating delightful Christmas cookies, cakes, and fried pies, which were eagerly anticipated by many throughout town. Her passion for spending time with her children and grandchildren filled her life with joy and purpose. Bonnie loved being a mother to her own kids, and to every child she knew. As she grew older, she became affectionately known as "Granny Bonnie."
Bonnie was married to the love of her life, Cleo Leon Hudson, on July 6, 1959. Together, they raised a beautiful family, forging a partnership grounded in devotion and mutual respect. Cleo passed away in 2007, yet the legacy of their love remains alive through their children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Keith Hudson; daughter, Lawanna Wisian (and her husband David); son, Jerry Hudson; son, Laren Ray Hudson (and his wife, Jo Ann); daughter, Karen Krahl (and her husband, Pat); along with numerous grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Bonnie is predeceased by her husband, Cleo Leon Hudson; her parents, Grady and Mae Jenkins; and all of her siblings.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on September 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Scott-Morris Funeral Home, and at her funeral service on September 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home.
Bonnie Hudson will be remembered as a kind soul who never had an enemy, and whose heart was a haven of warmth for everyone she encountered. Her legacy of love, kindness, and service will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.
