Becky Sue Hadley, a vibrant and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at her home in Bowie, Texas after a long illness. Born on January 27, 1957, in Vivian, Louisiana, Becky lived a life full of passion, love, and dedication to her family, her Lord, and the interests that brought her joy.
Becky's entrepreneurial spirit was evident in her ownership of the tile business, Tile with a Smile, where she brought creativity and warmth to her work. She also lent her skills to a brass plating company, demonstrating a strong work ethic and versatility throughout her career. Known for her outgoing nature, Becky was a woman who embraced life fully. She was outgoing and outspoken. She told the truth always, and you never wondered where you stood with her!
Outside of her professional life, Becky found immense joy in simple, heartfelt pleasures. She loved freshwater fishing more than anything else, a pastime that connected her to nature and tranquility. She also nurtured a love for gardening, passionately raising flowers and vegetables, and found happiness in digging in the dirt. Her creative side flourished through her crochet work, a craft she delighted in and shared with those around her.
Becky deeply loved the Lord and found strength and joy in her faith. One of God's greatest gifts to Becky was her family, and they were the cornerstone of Becky's life. Her devotion to her loved ones was profound and unwavering. She is survived by her beloved husband, Samuel Lee Hadley, and her children: Chastity Marie Beck; Jamie Rea Fouse and her husband David Mitchell; Melissa Sue Hodges; and John Hodges and his wife Naomi M. Hodges. Becky's legacy extends to nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom were the center of her affection and pride.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Rayford Frederick Smith, and her mother, Imogene (Comer) Dixon, whose memories she cherished deeply.
In remembering Becky Sue Hadley, there is a rich tapestry of joy, love, and spirited determination. Her laughter and kindness leave an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Becky's family and friends will carry forward her legacy of love, resilience, and an unyielding zest for life. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered forever.
Becky's family will host a celebration of her life at a later date. In the meantime, they have entrusted her care to Scott-Morris Funeral Home of Nocona, TX.
