Alfred Lynn Thomason, 62, of Bowie, Texas, passed away on June 17, 2025.
Born on October 29, 1962, Alfred lived a life defined by hard work, grit, and a deep devotion to his family. Over the years, he worked in a variety of trades, including on drilling rigs, as a skilled welder, and most recently as a tire technician. No matter the job, Alfred approached it with strength and determination.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tressa Thomason; his daughter, Latisha Lynn Thomason; his brothers, Charles Thomason, Chris Thomason, Brandon Thomason, and David Shepard; and his three beloved grandchildren, Mary, Lloyd, and James.
Alfred loved the outdoors-especially fishing and gardening-and had a special passion for chicken fights. Known for his ornery nature, Alfred had a big heart and would help anyone in need. Though he could be serious, he was a true joker when the moment called for it, always ready with a quick wit or a funny remark to lighten the mood.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at 10:00 AM at Sunset Cemetery in Sunset, Texas. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Alfred's life and the many memories he leaves behind. Arrangements are under the care of Scott-Morris Funeral Home in Nocona.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
